Lucky Mule

Lucky Mule's founder Courtney Callahan attended college at University of New Mexico in Albuquerque NM.  He studied many forms of print making there, but focused on Etching, Lithography, Mono Printing and Screen Printing.  He began printing shirts for some of his friends bands for extra money,  and the seeds of Lucky Mule were sown.   After college he moved to San Francisco and helped form the Psychic Sparkplug in 1994 with Orion Landu, Ron Donavan, Chuck Sperry and Stew.  Together this group helped launch the screen printed rock poster revival.   In 1995 Courtney broke off to form what is now the Lucky Mule based in San Francisco till 1999 then moved to Oakland, CA where we still operate.

Lucky Mule is a custom print shop making T-Shirts, Sweatshirts, Windbreakers, Posters, Totebags, Hats, Stickers and more.  We can take your logo and print on just about anything.  If you don't have a logo we can design a logo for you no problem.  We have a six color rotary press and a four color automatic press as well as a flat stock printing press.  For T-shirts we typically use plastisol oil based inks, but can print discharge and water based inks as well.  Posters inks are all water based but we can print oil base if requested.
